FOUNDER JOURNEY
With a childhood devoted to her love of horses and a promising path in competitive equestrian sport, Peta changed course at 16, moving to London and immersing herself in the city’s vibrant fashion and nightlife scene. She went on to secure internships with Melissa Odabash and Julien Macdonald, before joining Topshop’s iconic Oxford Street flagship store in Personal Shopping.
In 2012, Peta relocated to Dubai, building a career in PR, marketing, and social media for leading lifestyle brands. Now married and a proud Mum to her five-year-old daughter Mavia, who is half Syrian & half British, Peta takes joy in honoring her Middle Eastern roots. Named after an ancient Syrian warrior queen, Mavia shares her Mum's love of bright, expressive styles, especially when it comes to choosing her pyjamas!
Mimi & Nunu was born from Peta’s desire to create nightwear & loungewear that feels as empowering and expressive as that go-to little black dress hanging in your wardrobe. Her designs are made for those who love colour, prints, and a dose of eccentricity. Peta designs pieces that reflect her belief that fashion should make you feel seen, understood and your most authentic self, even when you’re winding down for the night.
